Operation Identification

HELP US PREVENT PROPERTY CRIMES AT ST. OLAF COLLEGE!
This program consists of engraving your valuable property with your Personal Identification Number (PIN).  In the event your property is stolen, participation in OPERATION IDENTIFICATION will greatly increase the chance of recovering your property.  Once a complete report is filed with OPERATION IDENTIFICATION information, the local police department can enter the information in to their computer, which will be broadcase to all 50 states.

An electric engraver and recording forms are available for check out at the Public Safety Office (Administration Building 114), upon presentation of a student identification card.  If you choose not to engrave your property, at least complete the Property Inventory form.  This will still enable us to enter the stolen property information in the National Crime Information Computer (NCIC).
