Prof. Bouxsein taught at Texas A & M University (2016-17) before coming to teach at St. Olaf. Her doctoral dissertation was on “Talking Truth: the Vocabulary of Honesty in Archaic Greek Poetry”; she has published an article and a book chapter related to that topic and is at work on a monograph. She is the co-founder of Rhea Classical Reviews and serves on its Executive Board. She has been an officer of St. Olaf’s chapter of Phi Beta Kappa as well as a member of the Undergraduate Awards Committee for the Classical Association of the Middle West and South (CAMWS). She won a modicum of fame as a contestant on Jeopardy! in the fall of 2021.
