    Welcome to the Spring/Summer 2025 issue of the St. Olaf Magazine. This year marks the 150th anniversary of the founding of St. Olaf College in November 1874. This issue reflects on the many ways the college commemorated the sesquicentennial throughout the year.

    Crossings and Connections

    This summer St. Olaf will host an international conference to mark the 200th anniversary of the first organized Norwegian migration to the United States. Over the past year, several programs have taken students and alumni to Norway for an up-close look at the factors that drove these immigrants to set out for a new country — and eventually create St. Olaf College.
